In a shocking incident, at least 21 persons were killed and over 30
critically injured when a private bus fell off 50 feetfrom a bridge
near Puruna Manitri at Athmallick area in Angul district on Friday
morning.
While 14 were killed on the spot, 7 others died in the hospital.
The bus named ‘Maharaja’ carrying around over 60 passengers was on the way to Athmallik from Boudh.
The deceased include four women and some school and college students.
The injured persons were rushed to Angul district headquarters hospital
and other hospitals.
