Early Life Of Bishnu Mohan Kabi :
Bishnu Mohan Kabi was born on 05 jan 1987 in
Balasore, Odisha, India, from his parents, Mr Madhusudan Kabi and Smt.
Snehalata Kabi. He spent his first twelve years of his life in his birth
place in village -Jirital, Khantapara, Balasore, Odisha, then he moved
to GOPALJIU MATHA (Lanka poda matha) a place in Padampure ,Sahupada,
Balasore, where his father, who is an Gaudiya Baishnava (Mandir
Pujaka) to start his Journey towards musical world. After that his
brother Mr Brajendra kabi encouraged him to take admission in an oldest
music school called BHARATIYA NRUTYA SANGEETA KALA PARISAD in
Bhaskarganj, Balasore. There he has spent first 8 years of formative
part of his life in Padampure and completed full course on Odissi Vocal.
Simultaneously he completed his schooling in SAHUPADA HIGH SCHOOL and
joined in GURU H.K BEHERA COLLEGE of ART and CULTURE, Balasore under
University of Art and Culture, Odisha.
Life at College hostel was simple, pristine,
unpolluted, far from madding rush of a city. There used to be cultural
programmes and social gatherings very often. His mother is a singer and
both of his parents are very much culturally inclined and they were very
much involved with all those cultural activities.
At the age of 6, he started learning music, mainly
odiya bhajans, from his first Guru – his mother and father. They gave
his first stage performance at their club’s annual function. At the age
of 7, he started getting formal training in odissi n Classical Music. He
learnt odissi Music from Mr Avijit Pal , Shri Gauranga Chandra Pradhan,
his college's music teacher and Arjun dalai, Arun Mishra, Radhashyam
Behera, Mr Kamala Biswal and PUJYA GURUJI –GREAT ODISSI DANCER SHRI GURU
HARE KRUSHNA BEHERA AND GURU MAA helping and encouraging him to built
his music career.
In Pursuit of his Dreams
In year 2009 he moved to BBSR and take admission in
UTKAL UNIVERSITY OF CULTURE,BBSR. He did his M.Mus (PG) in odissi vocal
from GURU RAMAHARI DAS, SHRI DHIRAJ MOHAPATRA, MANJU RANI MOHAPATRA,
PURUSOTTAM PARIDA after PG in 2011 then he came to Cuttack to
learning HINDUSTANI VOCAL from GURU Dr PRADIP PATRA.

20-09-2011 : he started recording
Albums in regional languages (Odiya, Hindi, Bengoli) by music Director
Mr SARAT NAYAK (Cuttack), JAYANT BEHERA (Balasore), Mr ARJUN DALAI, Mr
ASAD NIZAM.
15-10-2011 : The Most Popular
Lyricist NIZAM introduced him with the Extra Ordinary and Popular Music
Director Mr ABHIJIT MAJUMDAR. This was a turning point of his Musical
Career and ABHIJIT Daa selected him for play backing in Odia movie
"TANKA TOTE SALAAM".
2012 : Mr BAIDYANATH DASH gave him
an opportunity to sing in the odia movies like "RUMKU JHUMANA" for the
song "BHUL MU KARICHI JADI BHALAPAI RE KE RAB MUJHE MAAF KARE" lyrics
SURYA KUMAR and Music Director Mr PREMANAND gave him a beautiful song
for the odiya movie BACHELORE.
