All Odisha Teachers Association’s Strike In 3rd Day, Around 4,000 grant schools in Odisha were locked and studies of around 5 lakh students of these schools were affected due to the strike called by All Odisha Teachers Association.
The strike by the teachers entered on third day. The teachers are on strike demanding regularlisation of their salaries and implementation of 1994 grant policy.The association of block
grant teachers demanded withdrawal of current grant policy and implementation of 1994 grant policy. The teachers urged the state government to provide grants to the eligible schools.
However, the Odisha education minister assured to discuss with the teachers to end their stirke.
